How does this work?

Set the outer dimensions and wall thickness, choose how many compartments you want across width and depth, and the 3D preview updates instantly. Happy with it? Click "Download as STL" and open the file in your own slicer (Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio or similar).

Why this tool?

For a functional storage box with compartments, you usually don't need a full CAD program. This tool builds a rectangular box with custom dividers in a few clicks — great for screws, beads, small parts or desk organization. For rounded corners, decorative shapes or something very specific, a program like Tinkercad or FreeCAD is a better fit.

Print settings for the best result

Set the number of shells (wall lines) in your slicer high enough that your chosen wall thickness prints fully solid: with a 2 mm wall and a 0.4 mm nozzle, that's about 5 shells. 10 to 15% infill is usually enough, since the strength is already in the walls and compartments themselves.

What does this cost to print?

Once you have a valid design, the tool shows an estimate of the material use and print time. Click "Calculate print cost" to turn that into a concrete price including electricity, depreciation and failed prints in the calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Is this tool free?

Yes, completely free and without an account. Everything happens in your own browser; nothing is uploaded or stored.

What unit is the downloaded STL in?

Millimeters, the standard for 3D printing. You can open the file directly in Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio or another slicer.

Can I make rounded corners or more complex shapes?

No, this tool makes rectangular boxes with straight compartments. For more complex or organic shapes, use a CAD program such as Tinkercad or FreeCAD.

What print settings should I use for the best result?

Set the number of shells in your slicer high enough that your chosen wall thickness prints fully solid, and use 10 to 15% infill: the strength is already in the walls and compartments.
